Word Game for your Preschooler

When you are driving somewhere with your child or if you are in the store with your child shopping, play this word game.

Say any random word you can think of, it might just be something you see in the store. For example, "'Video,' tell me the first sound in the word 'video.'"

Your child should then tell you "/v/."

If your child doesn't know the sound, tell him or her. Keep playing this game whenever you have a little time with your child and need to entertain her or him.

Your child may not get it the first time, that's okay. Keep playing!
