"Infinity Ring Book 1: A Mutiny in Time," by James Dashner, 190 pages
My rating: 3 out of 5 stars
This book was okay. I thought some of the extra characters needed to be developed a little more. The main characters were more dimensional and the friendship between Dak and Sera was convincing. I am curious about the Remnants and want to know more details concerning what they are exactly.
As far as history goes, I'm not sure about a woman being a butcher in 1492. Nor am I certain about how Riq's skin color would be accepted in Spain's culture back in those days. He certainly would have stood out like a sore thumb, giving him away to the SQ mutineers aboard the Santa Maria immediately.
I part liked this story or at least some of the ideas for this story. However, as a whole the author could not persuade me to believe it.
