Libraries: Gateway to Success

One topic librarians like to discuss, is how libraries are the great equalizer.  Libraries are important to communities because they provide services to all, poor and rich.

The poor have an opportunity to take advantage of libraries here in the US.  Libraries provide internet connection, job skills books, and literacy programs.  All of these things can be important to the lower class in making goals for a more successful life.

I hope that libraries will continue to be a light to those looking for a better life.  I used a local library to find out more about my future career and learn about colleges, during a time when I did not have access to the internet at home.

Libraries help those who are on the other side of the digital divide.
