Winter Entertainment

Utah during this season inspires vacations to Southern California, Florida, and Hawaii. My mind has been far away dreaming of a vacation like that this past week. In fact, this weather may inspire me to move out of state someday.

I have been indoors a lot this past week. I did manage to get in a trip to the library and the bookstore. Speaking of books, I really need to see what books I need to buy for my upcoming school classes. I have certainly enjoyed my break off of school, as I managed to check some books off of my reading list. However, it seems no matter how many books I check off of my reading list, I always seem to add more to it. Inconceivable, I know.

I've read The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan, Divergent by Veronica Roth, The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater, and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. That's just four out of the few I have read. My plan this year (even though I have classes) is to get through 40 novels. I plan on doing most of my entertainment reading on my school breaks of course (spring break, breaks in between school, fall break, Thanksgiving break, and I'm done with school in December!)

Anyway, my big thing is to watch movies that are based off of books. It truly is one of my hobbies. So the movies I've seen within the last couple of months are Catching Fire, The Hobbit, and The Book Thief.

The Book Thief ended up being a really good movie to see. I thought it did the book justice and would highly recommend it. I know the movie wasn't "the same" as the book, but both the book and the movie had their own charms. If you haven't seen the movie or read the book, you are in for a treat. Just remember to have your tissues on hand.
