Book Stuff

March 15th

Went to Brandon Mull's book launch and got two more books signed by him aside from the books our family has already gotten signed by him. Brandon Mull had many authors signing with him at his book launch. My BIL is a Christopher Paolini fan so I was able to get a book signed by him while at the event.

Brandon Mull announced at the event that he will be working with other authors on a book series called "Spirit Animals." He also announced that Kendra and Seth from Fablehaven will have a new book series in the future.

***"Beyonders" SPOILER ALERT***

Also, from reading the last Beyonders book I believe that Brandon Mull is hinting at the possibility of another book series set in Lyrian.

This Weekend at Library School

I had my last library science class for the semester. Each member of the class had to present a reference guide of some sort that they had created. I made a resource guide on the effects of Red Bull on blood pressure.

A reference librarian gave us a tour of the reference section of the university library. She showed us some pretty interesting books.

May 17th & 18th

There will be a Children's Book Festival in which author Gail Carson Levine will be speaking and signing books. I want to take my kids because it looks like a lot of fun. There will be face painting, crafts, dressed up characters, and live owls.

The address is 550 N. University Avenue Provo, UT

A Little Entertainment

Here's one about Twilight:
