"Dragon Slippers," by Jessica Day George, 324 pages
My rating: 4 out of 5 stars
This book is very reminiscent of the books "Fairest," by Gail Carson Levine and "Dealing with Dragons," by Patricia Wrede.
Creel, the main character of the book finds her own destiny after eluding her aunt's plan for her. She becomes friends of certain dragons and comes to find a secret about the dragon slippers she obtained from a dragon.
Unfortunately, this secret affects her dragon friends and she wishes she would not have taken the slippers to begin with. However, she is smart enough to figure out how to deal with the problem at hand.
This is a fun story. I would recommend it for someone who needs a more light-natured read.
